High-Level Industrial Vacuuming
High-Level Industrial Vacuuming – Safety, Quality and Dust Control in Your Facility
The upper areas of industrial halls, warehouses, and production facilities are often neglected when it comes to regular cleaning. Yet it is precisely these zones – structural beams, trusses, cable trays, ventilation ducts, and lighting fixtures – where the largest amounts of dust, soot, and technological residue tend to accumulate.
Failing to maintain these areas can lead not only to violations of quality and safety standards but also to tangible financial and reputational losses.
What does a lack of high-level cleanliness really mean?
For many companies, high-level dust accumulation is not just an aesthetic issue. Here’s what can happen:
- Contaminants falling from overhead structures may land directly on production lines, negatively impacting product quality.
- Dust collecting around lighting fixtures or electrical components increases the risk of fire or short-circuits.
- In environments subject to IFS/BRC/HACCP audits, poor ceiling cleanliness can lead to failed inspections.
- Dust can interfere with optical sensors, ventilation systems, smoke detectors, and gas detection units.
How do we operate?
Depending on the building layout and contamination level, we apply different cleaning methods:
Floor-Level Vacuuming
- High-power telescopic vacuum systems,
- Reach up to 12 metres without the use of scaffolding or lifts,
- Ideal for facilities with regular ceiling geometry.
High-Level Work
- Scissor, boom, or articulated lifts – used in large-volume facilities,
- Rope access – where mobile platforms are not feasible,
- Independent power supply systems – allowing work without drawing electricity from the client’s infrastructure.
Explosion Risk Zones (ATEX)
- Equipment certified in line with ATEX standards,
- Technicians equipped with anti-static clothing,
- Procedures compliant with explosive atmosphere safety regulations.
Cleaning without interrupting production
Thanks to our experience and minute-by-minute logistical planning, we can carry out cleaning operations without disrupting ongoing production – including overnight or at weekends. We minimise downtime and ensure your production line keeps running smoothly.
When is high-level vacuuming necessary?
Here’s a checklist for your HSE or Maintenance Manager:
- Is visible dust on structural elements thicker than 2–3 mm?
- Has it been over 12 months since the last high-level vacuuming?
- Are there visible signs of falling contaminants on products?
- Are ventilation, sensors, or lighting underperforming?
If you answer “yes” to two or more of these questions – now is the right time to schedule a service.
Why trust us?
- Years of experience – we work with major industrial clients, including as subcontractors for maintenance and FM service providers.
- Certified rope access teams – IRATA, UDT, SEP and ATEX-qualified.
